Planet Punk

from Demo! by Fake the Band

lyrics

One day I looked at my window
staring at the rain outside
I had enough, I wanted to leave
I just followed the light

So I took a journey through time and space
to relax and have some fun
and one day I met an alien race
who were really quite alright

they invited me to be their guest
and I accepted their request
they threw a party to welcome me
I never thought how cool this could be

I'm having the time of my life up here
I guess I will never come back
I'm listening to punkrock and drinking beer
some things that I don't wanna lack
woohoo ...

Their culture is built upon punk rock
and they worship Rancid as gods
I saw statues of Green Day and NOFX
Lagwagon Square and Offspring street
In every bar there's only good music
listening to technos is punished with life
the prison is filled with gangstas and boneheads
who get beaten up from 9 to 5

this planet is really so damn cool
If I went home I'd be a fool
the girls up here all really like me
I never thought how cool this could be

I'm having the time of my life up here
(...)
